Conium maculatum

Conium maculatum is a highly poisonous plant the juice of which caused the death of Socrates
 - the ancient Greek philosopher - after he was convicted to death by the Athenian magistrates in 399 BC.

It can reach a height of 2.5 meters.
In this clump of plants on Mt. Parnassos it was more than 2 m high when it was photographed on May 23, 2014.
